Project Parameters

This project was SkyCity’s largest investment involving an entire CBD block - 32 000 m² bounded by Albion House, Nelson House and TVNZ. The building includes 5 lower Basement levels for parking and 5 Upper levels including a 6700m² Hall ,  2700m² of meeting spaces, and a theatre with a capacity of 2850 people. 

After the fire in 2019 BSCL were engaged to scan all trusses, columns and steel structure of Level 5 as well as services in Basement 1-4 to provide accurate data to be used in the assesment of the strucutre and determine and design the re-construction of the building. 

A large detailed scan was completed to provide real time accurate capture of data, post-processing data and import to Autodesk Recap Output for use by the design team.
